300 The Movie

Yesterday I went and saw the movie 300. The film is an adapation of the novel by Frank Miller. The movie was directed by Zach Snyder with Frank Miller as the executive producer and as a consultant to the film. It is rated R and was released on March 9th, 2007. I thought that besides the film extravagant visuals and special effects the film was pretty weak. If you are in to comic books, or basically any kind of "blood & guts" movie then you might enjoy, but if you are looking for a rich story line and brilliant film, stay away.


While I'm on the topic of movies I happened to watch Borat today. Sacha Baron Cohen plays Borat, a man from a middle-eastern country who comes to America to learn how to fix the economic problems in his country. You might remember Sacha Baron Cohen from The Ali G Show, and the movie Da Ali G Movie. He also played the part of the French rival driver in the movie Talendega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby. I enjoyed the film, and I think that Sacha is hiliarious and has his own specific stytle of comedy.
